Jason Sanborn never lets you down.  With his outward calm yet inner smoldering disgust for what the “progressives” have wrought upon the world, upon America, hell, even upon the Democrat Party, he echoes many of our sentiments and does it with impeccably vicious sarcasm.  Check out this letter to Jimmy Carter to see what I mean.

Don’t let the butterfly graphic at the top throw you off.  There’s nothing airy or flighty about the Christian conservatism at two or three.net.  This is a dynamic blog written by a highly articulate and very modern preacher and is  perfect for exploring the links between culture, politics and religion.  Read Daniel G’s (and some excellent contributors’) fresh takes on religion today, check out some of his fine sermons, and get up on the latest news– all at the same time.  Highly recommended.

I get a fair amount of flack from liberal/left types who complain that I have no sympathetic people of color in my series.  This is 100% factually untrue, as for example see this and this (and there are others).    Of course, the treatment these sympathetic characters of color receive at the hands of the lefties who run this household is another story; I cannot be held responsible if, for example, Diversity brings a perfectly delightful Latina child home to play with and she is rejected by Devon for being the wrong kind of Latina, politically.

Another point: more than 90% of this series revolves around the inner dynamics of a family which happens to be white– therefore, outside characters in general, of whatever color, will tend to be uncommon.  Until the current administration enacts an Adopt a Person of Color into Your Family policy, the prevailing color around the house will, sadly, tend to be white.

HOWEVER– I am not immune to creative criticism and have today initiated a new, experimental line of Diversity Lane cartoons, based on Politically Corrected earlier cartoons.  Here are three such samples for your inspection, with feedback of all kinds welcome as always (except for profane, vicious and/or substance-free screaming).  I’ve included in this initial series an African-American woman, Latino man, Asian man, and for good measure an Environmentally Sensitive Green Worker.  I hope my new alternative line of Diversity Lane cartoons meets with your approval!

freeourhealthcarenow.com is the number one anti-Obamacare petition currently in circulation, to be presented to Congress TOMORROW.  If you go there today and sign on it will take you less than a minute and you can help the total number of signitaries rise to 1.3 million, which would make it the largest public policy petition in U.S. history.  After you sign, forward the link to all your friends and urge them to do likewise.  Make this thing go viral.  This is the real deal; don’t let control of your health care and your loved ones’ healthcare fall into the hands of a mindless, anonymous beaurocracy.

The original term “iron curtain” was coined by Churchill.  (Winston, that is; the radical U of Colorado professor by the same name is irrelevant.)   He didn’t have theater curtains in mind but considering the amount of persecution of non-liberals that goes on in the entertainment arts, maybe he should have.  That’s why any conservative actor to emerge from that left-lurching, intellectually strait-jacketed world is such a welcome commodity.   Confessions of a Closet Republican is the blog of just such an actor and I enjoy reading her thoughts regularly.  So will you.  Just don’t expect her to give her real name, though; like all conservatives in any of the arts, that would without question result in untold harassment at best and out and out blacklisting at worst a la Joseph McCarthy (though infinitely more widespread).

“Incognito” is smart and interesting– visit her site, I know you’ll like it.

Learn all about Lympians at SondraK.com!  Before you start racking your memory of  Native American studies or extra-terrestrial species, I’ll give you a hint: the term is short for Olympians, i.e. liberal types residing around Olympia, WA and apparently just as nutty as their brethren from Berkeley or Manhattan.  Check in on Sondra K. as she fearlessly skewers these greener-than-green wackos in posts that are as edgy and fun as they are conservative.

You can bring a little sunshine into a wounded vet’s life by donating to Help Hospitalized Veterans.  This great non-profit organization was established for the purpose of distributing therapeutic arts & crafts kits, free of charge, to patients receiving care at Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers, state nursing homes for veterans and military hospitals. Since 1971, HHV has delivered nearly 25 million kits valued at $402 million.  That’s a lot of sunshine.  If you’ve been feeling like thanking our great vets for all their selfless service to the rest of us, this is a terrific way of doing it.
