@cagey: You might be thinking of “Puppetmaster”, but I’m not sure.

Later that day, Devon takes a trip to the mall to take her mind off of finally being rid of that doll, only to pass by Borders which still has the Obama standee outside constantly shouting “Buy My Book! Buy My Book! Buy My Book!”. The thin strings that had been holding her sanity together had finally snapped; there were no survivors.
