  1. so much for not trashing the planet!! piggies..

  2. Yes indeed, Incog. Like Woodstock, it was a great big planet-worshipping love-in that managed to leave a mountain of politically incorrect garbage in its wake.

Great depiction of the hypocrisy of the Libs, Zack. Excellent!

I wish you well 🙂 Melek

“The uncontested absurdities of today are the accepted slogans of tomorrow.” ~ Ayn Rand

  3. Thanks Melek. And boy does Rand have it right in that quote. Though I don’t cleave to her atheism, much of the rest of her work and thought is as prescient and keenly observed as Orwell.

  4. Let’s go green we’re told,
Yet the trash is piled high
    what am I missing?

Dear God please tell me that Diversity is wearing a non-animal skin muff! The horror! The horror!
Side note…. I’m having trouble wearing a turtle neck while on ski patrol or at anytime when it gets a bit on the chilly side…. Somehow these cartoons are making me feel reeeeally uncomfortable with that shirt style….

  5. I won’t even try to top that one, Haiku Vegas. Sidenote: I’ve been told by a liberal friend that at least the trash was multicultural.

Ikabod, the muff would of course be fake-fur; in fact, as PC as the Lanes are, I believe this is FAKE fake-fur. And I don’t blame you about the negative turtleneck resonance. At least maybe try to avoid wearing a black one with black slacks. You don’t want to be mistaken for Devon.

  6. Hopefully, the pile of trash on the National Mall won’t end up being a fitting monument at the end of Obama’s term.

    Hopefully…

  7. Wes: Not if the mainstream media has anything to do with it. Regardless of his potential legacy– from minor disasters to the next World War– they won’t be happy till he’s enshrined in his rightful place: next to Lincoln on Mt. Rushmore…

Well introduced your art to a true neo-lib today. I’m surprised he didn’t leave a comment. Almost went unglued at the thought of someone being a global warming unbeliever. His statement to this comic…. “well, all inagug’s are left with piles of trash…”
Real head slapper I got here….

  8. Good luck with the neo-lib, Ikabod. Maybe that list of 31,000 confirmed scientists and professors who signed a petition as sworn GlobWarm skeptics might help sway him more than any of my cartoons… but I doubt it. this is a Religion we’re talking about.

  9. The irony is almost unbearable. Haven’t been commenting much but I have kept up with your artwork. Keep it up.

Got an email from a guy who has a website called theendive.com. Its a conservative version of ‘the onion’. Thought you might think it was pretty funny.

  10. Thanks Chris. I haven’t been commenting at your outstanding blog lately either– http://thesteadyconservative.com/wordpress/ — too busy trying to stay afloat in this tanked economy (my biz, commercial art, hit very hard). Regarding the irony of planet-hugging libs trashing the National Mall– well, irony is sort of the name of the game with liberals, isn’t it? They want to help the poor so they institute and resuscitate Welfare again and again: a proven initiative-killer that keeps people in poverty. They proclaim their concern for the weak and helpless, but they do all they can to promulgate the killing of defenseless unborn children (and any excuse will do). My verdict? Acute mental illness masquerading as a “progressive” world view.

  11. Thanks Zack! Been crazy here with squirrley kids who don’t want to listen…

  12. Vegas:

    Sorry to hear of
    Squirrelly kids in classroom.
    Is there any cure?

“Zack Rawsthorne” — your pen-and-ink is pretty good but it doesn’t really reflect the true “diversity lane” that the cameras picked up Jan. 20th. There were plenty of so-called “people of color” in attendance — how come you didn’t include them? A bit shy about minority caricature, hmmm?

Btw, If you’re splitting hairs about crowds leaving behind garbage, you really don’t have much to say here. Let’s be honest now: EVERY big crowd leaves behind crap at large gatherings, regardless of ideology.

*This is for all right-of-center commenters here: your candidate, while an American hero, was not inspiring in 2008. Plus, he had the misfortune to attempt to replace the most unpopular president in U.S. history. You’re all entitled to your sour grapes but at least give President Barack (Zack, can’t you spell our Commander in Chief’s first name right?)Obama the benefit of the doubt.

  13. NM
    A. The left constantly lectures the rest of us about reuse renew recycle and yet they can’t find a flipping garbage can?

    B. Go look at his earlier work and you’ll see he’s not shy about people of color.

    C. We had to put up with 8 years of Bush=Hitler, Chaney=Satan so with all due respect that’s the pot calling the kettle black.

    D. I found it convenient how the ticking time bomb of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac went off during the election and even stranger how every time the Hitler er Bush administration tried to rein those two in, the democrats would not allow it. Even when the GOP had the majority in the Senate they did not have a filibuster proof majority so even when the GOP finally got a bill out of committee, the dems threatened a filibuster and it died…

    E. And no, I won’t give him the benefit of the doubt. Nobody on the left gave Bush anything close… Besides, the MSM will be doing that for me…

  14. Thanks for the comment, NM. The sign with the misspelled name “Barak” was manufactured and sold on the Mall by a liberal; hence he was simply too hypnotized by the sheer celestial glory of this saint-come-down-to-Earth (Obama) to notice the misspelling. Also: why the insinuation that I am a racist because I didn’t include a smattering of different races in that particular cartoon? Are you a racist because you didn’t write an equal amount of Comments to People-Of-Color’s blogs today? Hmmm… maybe YOU need to be quizzed on your Politically Correct Credentials. Besides– several of the folks in that cartoon were half Black/half White, just like The New God, except that in their case the White half was more dominant in their appearance. Now that you’ve steered the conversation (irrelevantly and mistakenly) to skin color you can rest easy that you’ve done a good day’s work for a liberal. Make sure, by the way, that you write nit-picking letters to every show on TV that doesn’t feature a Person Of Color in every scene. And finally, conservatives are not experiencing “sour grapes” or anything nearly so shallow. What irks them is the election of a man whose inexperience is matched only by his radical Leftist and America-hating associates, and who keeps appointing tax cheats and men of patently questionable judgment to his putatively New and Changed administration.

  15. Vegas: thanks very much for the accurate rebuttal to NM. I welcome NM’s comments of course, but wouldn’t it be great if liberals could get through one Comment without bringing skin color into it? They seemingly will never realize that it is the Left, not the Right, which is obsessed with Race. Loved your clear-sighted acknowledgement that it’s the Left’s obsessive Greenism that is the underlying irony here: i.e. that while it’s true all people leave garbage, one should expect higher standards from such an ostensibly Green bunch.

  16. Hey NM, in re-checking my cartoon I notice that there is indeed an African American gentleman, just over the gal in all black’s (Devon’s) left shoulder. Hope I’ve met the Politically Correct Quota.

It’s ironic that while praising the historic election of a President of mix race (let’s keep that straight) … and an America which does not see “color”, it’s a Liberal who has to bring up “color” into the picture (BTW, a black & white cartoon) … one more example of transparency of their true color … & typical mislabeling of their “perceived foes” … could not refute the veracity of the cartoon, so let’s go off topic … and in the process, attack the cartoonist.

I wish you well 🙂 Melek

“Political Correctness remains just what it was intended to be: a sophisticated and dangerous form of censorship and oppression, imposed upon the citizenry with the ultimate goal of manipulating, brainwashing and destroying our society.” ~ A.B. & J.S

  17. You said it, Melek. And thanks for the reminder that mine is of course the ultimate PC, integrated, progressive project in that it’s composed ENTIRELY in terms of Black and White! the libs should adore me…

Great quote, too. Exactly right about the true nature of PC. The Left is so busy being “compassionate” in their touchy-feely Politically Correct language that they forgot to hang on to Freedom.
