The Desert Glows Green , manned by Vegas Art Guy, chronicles the day to day travails of a teacher (9th grade English class starts in the Fall) with a conservative and Christian outlook.  Also a voracious reader with whom you can chat up the dozens of books he reads per quarter.  If that scenario doesn’t provide enough drama for you, he’s also a man committed to maintaining good values and decency in his classes.   (Below: one of the posters he’s thinking of putting up come September.  See what I mean?)  Swing by his spot, it’s impossible not to like this very smart, very good-natured teacher and master blog diarist.

Zack – can / would you offer a link to the web site that sheds some light on what a blood-thirsty tyrant Che’ was-?
Some time ago, Hugh Hewitt interviewed a Cuban-American gentleman from the Miami FL area, whose family barely escaped the mass-production firing squads that Che’ Guevara was running.

So many people who wear their Che’ shirts, have no idea what a cold-blooded, mass-murderer this thug was.

  1. So true, Steve. Despite thorough documentation of his being a cold-blooded murderer and a human swine on many levels, he is seen by hordes of folks on the Left as some kind of gritty hero– based, I am convinced, on 1) his being good-looking, and B) his early death: two slam-dunks for ensuring beloved immortality among the stupid and, evidently, many on the Left. I’ll see what I can post on him soon.

You may want to check the Cuba Archive’s website (Cuba Archive is an initiative of the Free Society Project) for some information about Che Guevara.

It’s difficult to defeat the Che myth, but there’s plenty of documented facts showing Che’s despicable acts and crimes against humanity! Che’s ideology was fueled by intolerance, hatred and repression, sustained through his constant practice of torture and killing.

Those of us who know the real Che have the responsibility to counteract this common type of “subtle” socialist and communist propaganda! The symbols of the movements are introduced very cleverly in the most unsuspected ways as in fashion and accessories, with the aim to make the regular citizen “impervious” to the ugly reality they represent.

Let me share with you some of Che’s quotes. . .!

    • “The peasant masses don’t help us at all.”

    • “I don’t need proof to execute a man, I only need proof that it’s necessary to execute him! A revolutionary must become a cold killing machine motivated by pure hate.”

    • “In fact, if Christ himself stood in my way, I, like Nietzsche, would not hesitate to squish him like a worm.”

    • “I feel my nostrils dilate, savoring the acrid smell of gunpowder and blood, of the enemy’s death.”

    • “I’m neither a Christ nor a philanthropist. I’m everything contrary to a Christ, and philanthropy seems worthless in comparison to what I believe in. I will fight with all the weapons within my reach rather than let myself be nailed to a cross or whatever.”

    • “Once more I was able to convince myself how criminal the capitalistic octopuses are. On a picture of our old and bewailed comrade Stalin, I swore not to rest before these capitalistic octopuses are destroyed.”

    • “If the nuclear missiles had remained we would have used them against the very heart of America, including New York City; We will march the path of victory even if it costs millions of atomic victims…We must keep our hatred alive and fan it to paroxysm.”

    • “Judicial evidence is an archaic bourgeois detail. This is a revolution! We execute from revolutionary conviction!”

    • “Hatred is an element of struggle; relentless hatred of the enemy that impels us over and beyond the natural limitations of man and transforms us into effective, violent, selective, and cold killing machines. Our soldiers must be thus; a people without hatred cannot vanquish a brutal enemy.”

    • “Their different attitudes of life separate them completely: the black is indolent and fanciful, he spends his money on frivolity and drink; the European comes from a tradition of working and saving which follows him to this corner of America and drives him to get ahead.”

    • “We’re going to do for blacks exactly what blacks did for the revolution. By which I mean: nothing.”

. . . let’s not forget Che’s stance on gays .. Gays in Cuba were included in “the scum of society” for the mere fact of being gay. Of course, “the scum” had to be eliminated!

I wish you well 🙂 Melek

“Reason is not automatic; those who deny reason can’t be conquered by it.”
    – Ayn Rand

  2. Melek: God bless you for that.

Here’s a link, Steve– –that should fill any normal mind with the horror of Che. All well documented, first-hand-witnessed, etc. For more along these lines go to the great and use Jose’s Search option at top.

  3. Thanks for the plug! I have been so busy getting ready for the year I have not had time for much blogging or reading of blogs. The school year starts in earnest this week so I should have a plethora of material to opine about!
